Elementary School Day Finishes

Elementary School Day Finishes

Before watching this video, consider having your students describe their image of the way a Japanese school looks and the end of the day will operate.  Have them think about things like order, clothes, final greetings, methods of dismissal, etc.  Have them compare the video to their expectations.  Have them compare the video to their dismissal (or memories of the way their dismissla worked while they were in elementary school).  Is there anything that surprises them?
Education Programs are made possible by generous funding from The Freeman Foundation.
