This video shows a western style room, used as a hobby room, and a walk in closet for kimono.  Most Japanese houses feature "western style" rooms.  What about the rooms makes them "western style?'

The owner of this house uses this particular room as a hobby room, including for Japanese calligraphy.  The calligraphy in black ink is the homeowners, while the red version is her teachers model calligraphy.  The closet includes a special set of "drawers" to store kimono.  These types of kimono are quite expensive, so it is rare that a family would own so many kimono.  Most Japanese homes would not have this peace of furniture or such a large closet.  However, it does illustrate how kimono are properly stored.
