Religion in Meiji Japan Podcast

Professor Helen Hardacre, Reischauer Institute Professor of Japanese Religions and Society at Harvard University, is one of the preeminent scholars of Japanese religion.  In May 2008, she came to Japan Society and spoke to the participants of the professional development course Japan 1600-1900: From Samurai to Modern Japan.  As part of the workshop, Professor Hardacre provided an introduction and brief overview of religion in the late Meiji Era.  This podcast is an excerpt from her talk.  (To advance to a specific topic, please see the list of topics introduced below.)
