understanding more about japanese religion

Hello!

I am a doctorate resercher based in Brazil, my theses is about japanese photographer Hiroshi Sugimoto, I am reserching for opportunities to study overseas, it could be in Japan or the USA, since part of my doctorate research can be done overseas ( I have support to do this), I am now reserching for a course or symposium related to japanese contemporary photography / religion in japan.

Unfortunatelly I do not speak japanese, so I was wondering if it is possible to find any course in english.
