Yakitori is a skewered chicken dish that in general is served as a quick snack and goes well with beer or barley tea. The word is a combination of the Japanese yaki, which means grilled, and tori, which means bird. Yakitori comes in several diffrent styles and eateries that serve them often times have many more types of meat than chicken, including beef, pork, fish and vegtables.
